4 FIS athletes and 2 K2 athletes will be competing in National Championship events starting this weekend.

On the K2 side, Patrick Lynott and Shannon Almond each earned a birth to K2 Nationals in Collingwood based on their performance and K2 Provincials. They will travel on Saturday to prepare for the event which begins on Monday. 

Charlie Keenan, Katherine van Buren and Michaela Tommy with also be representing our region at the Nationals.  Congratulations to all the athletes.

Senior Nationals are taking place in Nakiska, Alberta beginning Sunday. 4 NCOST athletes have made the trip to Alberta to compete against Canadian National team athletes and top racers from the Provincial teams. 

Athletes in the J1 category (15-16) had to qualify for this event.  Makena Korte-Moore, Julian Sheiner, and Chris Steinke all met the qualification criteria based on their performances on the NORAM and FIS circuit this season.

Ian Mott is competing at the Nationals also as a 3rd year athlete.  He will be looking to build on his recent success in the speed disciplines.
