NCO athletes moving on
Earlier this summer 2 members of the NCO FIS Team were named to the Quebec Ski Team and Quebec Ski Team invitee list. Stephanie Marcil (NCO 07/08) was named to the Women’s Quebec Ski Team after her strong results in her first FIS season. Graham Scott (NCO 04 to 08) was named to the Quebec Ski Team invitee list where he would have the opportunity to qualify for the full team through the dryland and on snow preparation period. After one successful summer camp Graham has qualified for the Quebec Ski Team. Congratulations Graham and Stephanie, all the best!!
As for our Ontario athletes, after her first year FIS Randa Teschner (NCO 06 to 09) has qualified for Ontario B team criteria. Randa has decided to continue with the NCO FIS Team training closer to home in the Ottawa/Outaouais area.
After their strong results at K2 Nationals, our graduating K2 athletes Mitch Bott, Makena Korte Moore and Chris Steinke all made Ontario Development team criteria. Both Mitch and Makena will be training with the NCO FIS Team this season. Chris has decided to train out of Mont Ste Marie.
On the international scene, former top Canadian J1 and NCO alumni Dustin Cook will be entering his second season with the Canadian Development Team. You can follow Dustin’s progress on his website www.dustincook.ca. The NCO has been privileged to have Dustin join them in pre season workouts here in Ottawa in between his on snow camps. Good luck this season D-Money!
