February 14th 2009, Mont Saint Sauveur, Quebec Awesome conditions for racing today in Mont Saint Sauveur, the surface was as good as it gets. So hard that both girls and boys raced on the same courses while barely creating a dent, very rare in FIS racing. Second year FIS athlete Randa Teschner continued her slalom progress today with career best FIS SL point result and 2nd place J1 result on the slick and demanding Sauveur track. Randa showed good confidence today going into the 2nd run on the tough turny set and ripped some great arcs. Simon Wenzowski had the top male NCO result today with a 24th, shattering his career best FIS SL point result and also making his first 'flip' after the first run, breaking into the top 30 finishers. Some more relaxed and loose race day skiing for Simon. The racing at Sauveur concludes tomorrow with another slalom. Top J1 Girls: 1st Emilie Lamoureux DLS 2nd Randa Teschner NCO 3rd Katerine Lessard Skibec 4th Marie Catherine Turcotte Skibec 5th Sam Bisnaire ON C team
