So we came away from Sugarbush with one 4th place result (and point result) for Mat Fournier, definitly a sign of the good preparation we had before coming in.

Julian and Simon did not fair as well.  Both has good sections but mistakes got the best of them in the end.

The track was excellent, despite the warm temps. Chemicals were put on the snow to harden the surface for a fair race.  The ROC did a fantastic job and got all 135 boys down the hill on a safe and fair track.

I posted Mat's second run bail, it is one for the books for sure!!!  Think Ted Ligety at Adelboden in 2007, the definition of high side.

Writing you here from Sugarbush VT where Mat, Julian and Simon are racing GS for the next two days.  By the sounds of it conditions are soft and lots of sun exposure on the race hill, so we are crossing our fingers for cold tonight!  Julian has first seed points at this development race, he is starting 15 tomorrow, Mat is up there in 18 and Simon 55 in a field of 136.  This is a development level race with some decent points at the top of the list, so it should be a great opportunity for the boys to charge for the front of the field.  Upon our arrival here we visited Graham Lonetto at Edgewise in Stowe VT, for those who don't know, Graham is a veteran tech from the World Cup circuit and now works in Stowe offering the tightest grinds and best ski prep.  He showed me several neat tricks this summer that I use every time I tune skis.  I strongly encourage you to stop by if you are in the Stowe area.  Graham also informed me he will be testing a Montana grinder next week, same as T&L!!! He seemed excited on my positive feedback from the T&L machine.

The rest of the team is at home gearing up for Spring Series at Stoneham and Le Relais.  We will train for a couple days over at Stoneham to hone up our GS and rip it up come race day.

A big thanks goes out to everyone at Mont Ste Marie this weekend for great hospitality and allowing us to get ideal training both Saturday and Sunday, best GS training we've had in a long time.
